The new base is expected to create over 125 jobs in the area, including positions for flight and cabin crew, engineers, and ground operations staff. While specific job postings have yet to be listed, those interested in joining Jet2 are advised to keep an eye on the company’s careers page.
Jet2's UK Presence
With London Luton joining the network, Jet2 will operate from 13 UK airports, further cementing its position as a leading leisure airline. The other UK airports in the network include Manchester, Leeds Bradford, Birmingham, and Glasgow, among others.
Jet2's largest aircraft base remains Manchester Airport, where the airline operates a significant portion of its fleet and offers an extensive range of destinations. This base is not only central to Jet2's operations but also a hub for aviation enthusiasts. At Airliners Live, we frequently produce live plane spotting streams from Manchester, capturing the excitement of Jet2's departures and arrivals.
